Robin Gerus

Robin Gerus serves as Executive Director of Halifax Transit, providing strategic leadership for one of Atlantic Canada’s largest integrated public transportation systems, including conventional transit, Access-A-Bus, and ferry services. With more than 40+ years of experience in the transit industry, including senior leadership roles with the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) and Guelph Transit, he has developed extensive expertise in transit operations, service planning, customer experience, organizational leadership, and capital project delivery. In his current role, Robin oversees all aspects of Halifax Transit’s bus and ferry operations, strategic planning, major infrastructure and fleet investments, and service delivery across the Halifax Regional Municipality. He is committed to advancing innovative, accessible, and customer-focused transportation solutions that support sustainable growth and enhance mobility for residents and visitors alike. Through a focus on operational excellence, employee engagement, and continuous improvement, Robin is helping shape the future of public transportation and marine transit services in Halifax.
