About SMC
The Smart Mobility Center is an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing intelligent, connected, and sustainable transportation solutions. Serving as a trusted industry resource, the Center brings together public agencies, private-sector organizations, academic institutions, and technology providers to foster collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing across the mobility ecosystem.
Through research, industry engagement, and thought leadership, the Smart Mobility Center supports the development and deployment of emerging transportation technologies and services, including connected and automated vehicles, traffic and transit management, freight and logistics, data analytics, mobility-as-a-service, smart infrastructure, and transportation safety solutions.
The Center is committed to maintaining a neutral, non-commercial governance model, ensuring that initiatives are guided by the collective interests of its members and stakeholders. With dedicated professional management and transparent, member-driven operations, the Smart Mobility Center provides an objective forum for advancing practical, scalable, and sustainable mobility solutions that benefit communities, industry, and public agencies alike.

The Smart Mobility Center operates under a multi-jurisdictional governance structure designed to provide the accountability and transparency that public-sector members require. Initiatives are guided by the collective interests of members and stakeholders, with dedicated professional management and transparent, member-driven operations.

Governance & Accountability
A Florida Advisory Board provides governing oversight, supported by a Canada Advisory Board and a European Advisory Board covering regional operations and partnerships.
Each P2P Knowledge Exchange Network is guided by its own advisory board and an independent chair, ensuring impartial, member-led direction.
